Fun Day 2013

Fun Day was held on Saturday, September 21st on the North Yarmouth Village Green.

September 21st was the last day of summer 2013, so the theme this year was "Summersault into Fall"!


9:00am Parade Grand Marshals: Ursula Baier and Bob Geyer
Participants line up at Fat Andy's on Route 115. Parade proceeds north on Route 115, ending at the Village Green.
9:30am Opening Ceremony Presentation of the flag and awarding of the 2013 North Yarmouth Distinguished Citizen awards to Bob Geyer and Ursula Baier!
10:00am Games, Vendor and Food Booths Open Something for kids of all ages!
10:15am Diaper Derby This is a fun-filled event for crawlers and toddlers up to 3 years old and their families. All participants must be registered 15 minutes before start of Derby. Registration forms available on the website's Forms page or at the Information Booth on the day of the event. Organized by Rose Garden Preschool. Fee: $5. Trophies and participation prizes awarded!
10:30am Somersault Races Celebrate the 2013 Fun Day theme with a little friendly competition amongst the "big kid" crowd. This could end up being a rematch of some of our past Diaper Derby competitors!
11:00am Party Palooga Party Palooga creates art and the medium is... balloons! FMI:
11:30am DJ Mixx/Karaoke Part 1 Does North Yarmouth Got Talent? We'll see! Either way, it's sure to be entertaining! If you've ever dreamed of being an opening act for a real rock band, this is your chance!
12:00am Easy Money Band The Easy Money Band covers classic song hits in a wide range of styles including Country, Rock & Roll, Pop, Disco, Ballads and even some novelty tunes. FMI:
12:45pm Horseshoe Tournament Hosted by Rob Wood. Two-person teams must be registered by 12pm. Registration forms available on the website's Forms page or at the Information Booth on the day of the event. Pay $3 per player. Cash prizes!
1:00pm Dance Party with Moe Lucey Local legend Moe Lucey helps you burn those lunch-time calories!
1:00pm Face Painting Especially fun for the little ones! Amazing personal artwork courtesy of Gail Strattard.
1:30pm DJ Mixx/Karaoke Part 2 If you've ever dreamed of being an opening act for a real HIGH SCHOOL rock band, this is your chance!
2:00pm Simple Burden  Greely High Students Dylan Sinclair, Joey Clayton, Ryan Beagan and Josh Medrano are Simple Burden! Check out their Facebook page at
3:00pm DJ Mixx/Karaoke Part 3 If you've ever dreamed of being an opening act for a Yo Yo act, this is your chance!
3:30pm Yo Yo People As seen on TV... seriously! These guys have performed all around the world and must be seen to be believed!
4:15pm DJ Mixx/Karaoke part 4 If you've ever dreamed of being an opening act for a real Bean Supper, this is your chance!
5pm Bean Supper Served in the Fire Barn. Eat either inside the fire barn or outside on the picnic tables. Beans, sides, and desserts proudly prepared by North Yarmouth Fire Company. Dig in and help support our first responders!
