Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 6pm - North Yarmouth Block Party with DJ Mixx of All Access DJ

There were party games, a photo booth and prizes! Cumberland Youth Cheering kept the crowd sugar-fueled with their fund-raising bake sale.

Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 6:30pm - Easy Money in concert at the Village Green
Easy Money Band was featured at Fun Day 2013 and did such a great job that we gave them their own summer concert! We had another evening of perfect weather and the crowd was treated to a great performances by not only the band, but by Kathy Whittier and Gail Strattard on tambourine! Friend Mark Heath on Facebook if you don't believe it!

Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 6:30pm - Dan Merrill in concert at the Village Green
The weather was perfect for our first 2014 Summer Concert and Dan Merrill put on a fantastic show! Sandra Grover's lemon cake took the first place prize in the Dessert Contest and there were plenty of sweet, savory and auditory treats for the crowd. Thanks to our dessert judges: Alan Fried of Ice It!, Martha Grover of Toots and Cindy Decker of Shear Joy.

Saturday, June 14, 2014 - Tri-NY - we had great weather for the 5th annual Tri-NY and it was DEFINITELY the most exciting river ride that we've ever had! The rainy weather earlier in the week made the river higher and faster than usual, which would have been GREAT if not for the fact that it also made a tree come down completely across the river about a quarter of a mile from the starting line! Everyone was pinned up against it for a few minutes while one team snapped enough branches off to make a hole and several other teams decided to portage on the muddy banks.  The running leg was relatively unaffected by the conditions, but the bike leg was very wet and muddy, which only added to the fun!

Sunday, December 1, 2013 - despite not having Wescustogo Hall for our usual potluck dinner, and despite the rainy weather... a stalwart assembly of carolers gathered around the bandstand as the North Yarmouth Community Band played a festive selection of seasonal songs. Santa himself was there to lend his voice to the chorus! The ever-growing, evergreen town Christmas tree was officially lit for the season as the crowd sang "O Tannenbaum".

Following the fa-la-la-la-ing, the Walnut Hill Garden Club served up an impressive array of cookies as the crowd crammed into the Fire Station training room. Santa listened intently as the children pleaded their cases for why they deserved well-stuffed stockings. Everyone went home with a fresh bunch of memories of good times and cheer spent with their North Yarmouth neighbors!

The Thriftshop Dressup produced some memorable images:

As did our "open air photo booth":

Thursday, July 11, 2013 - Storm clouds threatened, so we moved the concert with the Italian Heritage Center Concert Band into Wescustogo Hall. The sound was AMAZING and attendants were also treated to some potluck dishes and extra desserts from our 3rd Annual North Yarmouth Dessert Contest.

Saturday, September 8, 2012 - We had a wonderful time celebrating Fun Day! The weather was overcast for most of the day and a little breezy at times, but very comfortable. The theme for 2012 was DECADES OF FUN and the event lived up to it!

The day’s activities began with the Fun Day Parade, starting at 9 AM at the White Pines Community Church Ministry Center on Route 9, and proceeding north to the Village Green on Route 115. An opening ceremony was held to honor Clark and Kathy Whittier, North Yarmouth’s Distinguished Citizens for 2012.

Fun Day 2012 featured the Wicked Good Band , “masters of Maine musical satire,” in performance twice during the day. The Band joined a lineup of Disco Dancing, Hula Hooping, Diaper Derby, Horseshoes Tourney, 317 Student Ensemble performance, a “Decades of Style” fashion show (entrants styled on the spot by Shear Joy stylists), old fashioned races, games, and much more.

Throughout the day, lunch and treats were served up at several food booths, there were vendor and non-profit tables, and the day concluded with North Yarmouth Fire and Rescue’s famous Bean Supper at 5pm.
